Beautiful Wedding at the Boulders Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona

This beautiful wedding that culminated at the Boulders Resort really hit me with all the feels. Seeing Cody & Amanda enjoy their amazing wedding day and also take special care to honor the memory of Cody’s recently passed father was quite the emotional journey for me. As someone who also lost a father way too soon, I could feel all the emotions bubbling up with Cody in those moments of remembrance that were shared during the reception. What a joy it was to be a small part of this amazing wedding.

Eric & Jenna had their wedding at one of my favorite places in the valley, the Desert Botanical Gardens. Absolutely loved everything about this beautiful day!

Phoenix Wedding Photographer | Beautiful Desert Engagement Session | Cody & Amanda

With its rugged beauty and towering cacti, the Arizona desert was the perfect setting for Cody and Amanda’s engagement session. (The size of the saguaro cactus surprised me the most when I moved to Phoenix from the midwest. It is absolutely bonkers how tall they can grow)! After hiking amongst those majestic giants, we wrapped up the session at sunset on a small ridge overlooking a beautiful lake next to Cody’s other baby. : ) Congratulations Cody & Amanda! Can’t wait for your wedding!

Hiding two families and a production team along a golf course that’s only dotted with desert plants isn’t as easy as you’d think. After several false sightings (leading to many panicked attempts to find the perfect hiding spot), everyone’s nerves finally evened out. Peeking around tree trunks and random cacti to see if Blair could pull off the surprise proposal of the year, all we could do was anxiously wait for the moment to happen. And what happened next was absolutely magical…..
